This Papua New Guinea washed coffee is the product of 787 small coffee plots, 90% of which are grown in the shade. With the nearest road a day's walk for these growers, the Jimi River region is one of the most remote coffee complexes in Papua New Guinea. Beans are grown organically over 5,000 feet above sea level and are hand-picked and processed by the local community of 703 smallholders.
