Freestone

A light-medium roast gives this washed coffee a pleasantly sweet aroma and a balanced taste of almond and apricot. We also taste undercurrents of caramel and black tea in the cup. 

La Colombia is a 321-acre farm owned by Gonzalo Vargas and his family in the Antioquia region of Colombia. This microlot Caturra coffee variety is grown in mountains between 5200-6700 feet above sea level. The farm also encompasses a 70-acre nature preserve. 

Freestone rivers are entirely dependent on runoff from rain and melting snow. They are free flowing and unencumbered by dams. The Oconaluftee River in North Carolina is an example of a freestone river, holding populations of rainbow, brook and brown trout.
